Admissions
Students with a French research Master’s degree or a French Diplôme d’études approfondies
You can pre-enrol from June onwards via Amethis and enrol fully from mid-July until October. We will confirm your enrolment once your application has been approved, you have submitted all the required supporting documents, and your doctoral school director has approved your enrolment.
Students with a foreign qualification equivalent to a French Master's degree, or eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (Validation des acquis de l'expérience – VAE)
You will need to follow the exceptional admission procedure. Your doctoral school’s council must review your application and approve your enrolment. Visit your doctoral school’s website for more information about the required documents and application deadlines.
Enrolment
You must enrol for the first year between June and the end of October.
If you are currently or have previously been a student at the University of Strasbourg (even if you last enrolled over 25 years ago), please use the re-enrolment platform to enrol. If you are unable to access the platform or do not know your former eight-digit student number, contact the enrolment support team.
- Step 1: before you can complete your enrolment at the University of Strasbourg, you must first pay the Student and Campus Life Contribution (contribution vie étudiante et de campus – CVEC). Go to the cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr website to pay the fee, obtain your certificate and get your CVEC code.
- Step 2: Complete your enrolment online (link available from the end of June). You can only enrol once your pre-enrolment has been validated by your doctoral school. Each candidate must submit their pre-enrolment application via the Amethis platform.
- Step 3: Activate your account on the intranet (Ernest)
- Step 4: Once you have activated your account on Ernest, upload your supporting documents to the PJweb platform
