Overview
The Knowledge Transfer Upper Rhine (KTUR) network brings together 15 higher education institutions and organisations involved in innovation and technology transfer in the Upper Rhine – a trinational region where Germany, France and Switzerland meet.
The KTUR network works with 40 partners and provides companies in the Upper Rhine region with direct access to innovation and cutting-edge technologies.
The University of Strasbourg coordinates the KTUR network and KTUR2: Boosting trinational innovation, a project supported and funded by the European Union. KTUR2 supports knowledge and technology transfer across the region through four key areas:
- Facilitating access to research technologies for companies
- Offering continuing education opportunities
- Supporting start-ups and entrepreneurship
- Simplifying access to innovation funding schemes
The aim of KTUR2
- To unite scientific and industrial forces: creating lasting synergies between cutting-edge research and industry
- To stimulate the local economy: transforming academic advances into innovations
- To strengthen the trinational network: facilitating exchanges between experts, researchers and entrepreneurs across the three countries
