Facing difficulties? The Student Support and Welfare Office (Mission solidarité) is here to answer your questions, help with your administrative procedures and point you towards the right services.
The Student Support and Welfare Office offers:
- A dedicated rights and support (Accès aux droits) drop-in session on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 to 12:00 and Wednesdays from 13:00 to 16:00
- A daily drop-in service from 10:00 to 17:00 for any other questions, information or support

Support for international students
If you are an international student facing difficulties with your residence permit, asylum application, naturalisation process, housing or finances, help is available. The International Student Support Department (Cellule de veille et d’alerte) of the Student Support and Welfare Office (Mission solidarité) can help you navigate administrative procedures, prepare the necessary documents and put you in contact with the right services and organisations. It can also liaise with the relevant authorities when needed. It is confidential, informal and tailored to your needs.

Support for students and researchers in exile
The University of Strasbourg supports students and researchers in exile so they can continue their studies and research, including through the Returning to Studies through Language and Intercultural Skills for Refugee Students University Diploma (Retour aux études par la langue et l’interculturalité des étudiants réfugiés – DU RELIER) and the PAUSE programme.

Support for victims and witnesses of violence and discrimination

Occupational health support for staff
The Occupational Health Office (Service de santé au travail – SST) supports staff in looking after their health at work, preventing work-related risks (including psychosocial risks and workplace stress), and adapting working conditions to their health needs.

Social services for staff
The University of Strasbourg provides social support for staff experiencing personal or professional difficulties. The social worker is there to listen, offer support and help staff find practical solutions, working closely with university services, social services and external organisations.
