As 2016 comes to a close, we remember the significant events of the past year.
Admission for first year for students from Non-EU countries
Wishing to apply to the University of Strasbourg for the academic year 2017-18? Application for pre-admission is now open for prospective first-year students from Non-EU countries. Upon applying for first year, Non-EU students who are not part of an exchange program must go through a pre-admission procedure (Demande d’Admission Préalable - DAP) before they can officially apply for a course. The deadline for this procedure is the 22 January 2017.
Michel Deneken elected president of the University of Strasbourg
Michel Deneken has been elected president of the University of Strasbourg by the administrative board on 13 December 2016. He received 26 votes against 9 for his opponent Hélène Michel, leader of the Alternative list 2017 (and 1 abstention).
The University of Strasbourg opens a new English-language degree : Master TCLoc
This continuing education program, offered as a distance-learning, English-language degree, prepares students for professions in project management, for documentation and media, technical writing, localization engineering and localization. Registration is now open and classes will begin in January, 2017.
European Campus receives Prix Bartholdi
The Prix Bartholdi Association awarded its annual prize to Eucor – The European Campus on 9 December 2016 in the Freiburg University Library, thus recognizing the university alliance for its fundamental contribution to cross-border cooperation. The Prix Bartholdi is awarded yearly to outstanding projects in the cross-border educational area of the German–French–Swiss border region.
