The Student World Forum 2015 has started in Strasbourg on the 19th of April, bringing together students from across the world around the theme « The European experience in local and regional democracy ».
The Forum, hosted by the University of Strasbourg in partnership with the University of Freiburg, is organised by the Academic Consortium for the 21st century (AC21). For five days, 38 students from South Africa, Germany, Australia, China, the USA, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, New Zealand and Thailand will discuss the theme « The European experience in local and regional democracy », which will be approached from four perspectives:
AC21 promotes cooperation in education and research between its members and the bridging between different societies in the world to share values, knowledge and cultures necessary to improve quality of life and to foster coexistence beyond national and regional boundaries in the 21st century.
