The University of Strasbourg Institute for Advanced Study (USIAS) aims to fund excellent, original research in all scientific domains. Each year, the Institute awards around 15 Fellowships for a period of between three months to two years.
The Fellowships are open to promising young scholars as well as advanced researchers, who are not currently based in Strasbourg, wishing to carry out research in collaboration with local researchers and/or to use a specific Strasbourg research facility.
In addition, researchers from the University of Strasbourg may also submit applications with an especially original research project, seeking to apply their knowledge and skills to new domains outside of their current field of work. Joint projects with an external applicant are particularly encouraged.
