Overview
The International Relations Office (Direction des relations internationales – DRI) is one of the central support services at the University of Strasbourg. It operates under the authority of the Deputy Director General for Operational Support and under the political leadership of the university's Vice-President for European and International Relations.
Its main mission is to implement the university’s international relations strategy. Its roles and responsibilities include:
- Measuring the University of Strasbourg's international activity
- Supporting and developing incoming and outgoing mobility opportunities for students and staff
- Ensuring the university complies with international cooperation regulations
- Engaging and coordinating internal stakeholders in international relations
- Supporting the development of international projects with EU and other funding
- Representing the university in national and international academic networks
Several faculties, schools, institutes and services have dedicated international relations departments to promote and develop the university’s international strategy. The International Relations Office also works closely with a network of international relations correspondents, including academic and administrative staff.
The International Relations Office focuses on three main areas:
- Developing and supporting international partnerships
- Supporting student, academic and administrative mobility
- Representing and promoting the university internationally
