    Overview

The Facilities and Property Management Office (Direction du patrimoine immobilier – DPI) is responsible for construction projects and major maintenance of the university's buildings across its campuses, covering a total of 560,000 m², and manages the upkeep of outdoor spaces. It also helps define the university's property policy in collaboration with the university's decision-making and advisory bodies.

The Facilities and Property Management Office has 47 members of staff and three departments:

    • Major Projects Department
    • Maintenance Department
    • Administrative Department

The Major Projects Department manages operations under the State-Region Plan (plan État-Région), Opération Campus, self-funded projects and building safety initiatives. It is also the main contact point for local authorities for projects the university does not directly manage. The department is divided into three units: Project Management and Planning, Construction Management, and Property Information. The Property Information Unit is responsible for property management and operates the university's property management software, Abyla, that centralises building data.

Within the Maintenance Department, the Maintenance Unit manages regular maintenance of university-owned buildings and outdoor spaces. The university’s buildings are divided into five sectors, each managed by a dedicated coordinator who supervises the work of outsourced maintenance contractors and coordinates their work with the local building maintenance teams. Four on-site maintenance teams report directly to this unit. The Projects and Expertise Unit plans and carries out major maintenance and replacement projects for technical systems and building structures. It also develops and manages a centralised technical system for monitoring installations remotely and includes the team responsible for monitoring and improving the university’s energy use.

The Administrative Department comprises the Secretariat, the Financial Management Unit and the Agreements and Occupancy Authorisation Unit. It also includes the Property Contracts Unit, which is responsible for preparing all property-related contracts and overseeing their implementation.
