Literary configurations (CL) - EA 1337

French literature - Comparative literature - Francophone literature

The Literary Configurations research team brings together research work on French, francophone and comparative literature. It covers literature history and theory as well as comparative studies of French and foreign literature through time.

This research unit is composed of 3 research centres working on specific projects or on transversal themes:

• CELAR (Centre for Ancien Régime Literature Studies)
• CERIEL (Centre for Representations Studies: Ideas, Aesthetics and Literature in the 19^th and 20^th Centuries)
• Europe des Lettres (Centre for Comparative Literature Studies)

Two main themes are at the heart of the unit’s research activities:

• Literature and History
• Borders and transfers
